Launching the new Dark Farm 10L (not so mini) mini keg

We have just received our new member to the family – and it’s a “biggun”. Standing proud at nearly 50cm, meet our 10L mini Keg.

If you have friends like I have, who have recently found that you are brewing beer and have clocked on to the fact that if they pop over they get to sit at the bar (oh yes we’ve built a bar!) and sample free beer., you’ll find that the these said friends can drink a lot. Which meant that we were polishing off our 5L kegs in very quick succession. We needed a solution and fast! And so the 10L keg was born.

The 10L mini kegs are constructed the same as our 5L kegs – all done in stainless steel. They even fit in the fridge with a little shelf adjustment. I generally brew around 20L – 25L batches. These are great way to store it once your fermentation period is finished. Screw on the tap and off you go. And we do mean off you go: the great advantage of these 10L mini kegs is you can take the them anywhere – the garden, camping, your friends or even the bathroom (we know who you are)!
